Born into a family that has run a knitwear manufacturer for 70 years, I grew up surrounded by colorful knits from a young age. After graduating from art school, I became a designer for a major apparel company, and later, I worked for my own company, exporting knit products to numerous companies both domestically and internationally. I began to think that I wanted to paint whenever I had free time, and I've been doing it little by little since retiring from work. It's a form of encouragement and comfort for myself... I would be happy if I could convey the mental landscapes that appear in my heart, like a message bestowed upon us who coexist with the beautiful natural world.

祖父から70年続くニットメーカーの家に生まれ、幼少の頃よりカラフルなニットの中で育ちました。美大卒業後は大手アパレルのデザイナーとなり、その後自社でたくさんの企業のニット製品を国内外に送り出しました。 時間が出来たら絵を描きたいと思い始め、仕事引退後から少しずつ始めています。   それは自分への励ましだったり安らぎだったり… 心の中に現れた心象風景、美しい自然界と共生する私達に授けられた、メッセージみたいなものが届けられたら嬉しいです。
